Don't Look Down by Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer

Action-adventure-comedy-romance. If only they added aliens or unicorns, they'd have achieved a quincunx of genre.
 

The Sea of Trolls by Nancy Farmer

Wonderful fantasy based on Norse history and mythology. I suppose this is technically a mid-grade book, but great fun for grown-ups as well. Highly recommended.
