I read these out of order which was not problem regarding the story lines, perhaps even interesting. Both books concern members of the Lazelle family, a group of witches with real magic powers. I enjoyed the earlier book a lot more, but both were interesting.

Strange, weird, twisted, crazy, psychotic. I used to read a lot of books like this. A very good novel, but not for the lighthearted.
Many thanks to Camille for all these suggestions! Due to the popularity of some of the book suggestions, I had to abandon the public library and resort to Amazon to get a few books. Approximately 2,200 pages of reading will be dropping on my doorstep soon. I think I'll need a lot more coffee.
Managed to get through another three books this week.
